To Access the AAUW Media Center

1. Go to the home page of AAUW: www.aauw.org
2. Point to “I AM” and scroll down to “Activist/Policymaker” and click there.
3. A new drop-down box will appear. Click on “Action Network.” That takes you to this page: http://capwiz.com/aauw/home/
4. Click on “Media,” located at the far right of the list in teal at the top of the page just under the Two-Minute Activist banner. /
5. Enter your zip code in the box under “Local Media—ZIP Code Search.”
6. If you want to include national media in your search, check the box to the right of the box where you entered your zip code. Either click on “GO” or hit return.
7. Check the boxes for up to FIVE (5) newspapers or magazines (any mix of national and local).
8. The click the big teal button “Compose Message” at the bottom of the list.
9. Select your preferred delivery method for each publication.
10. Type in or copy and paste the text of the message you want to send.
11. Fill in your contact information at the bottom and decide whether you want the site to remember your contact information and whether you want to receive AAUW alerts.
12. You can then either preview your message (recommended) or send it directly.
