AAUW-PA Scholarship Announcement

The National Conference for College Women Student Leaders focuses on preparing the next generation of women leaders. The next generation of women leaders must have access to the information, skills, networks, and resources necessary to lead change on campus and take on various leadership roles in their communities. For more than 20 years, this conference has offered women students the opportunity to build leadership, advocacy, networking, financial management, and other skills during a fast-paced, two-and-a half-day experience focused on enhancing student leadership.

Students from across the nation attend to interact with top women professionals; hone skills in leadership, advocacy, civic engagement, networking, and career planning; build relationships with peers and other women who can support their professional and personal growth; and create practical solutions to challenges on their campuses and in their communities.

AAUW-PA is offering two scholarships to women attending college in Pennsylvania to participate in the 2008 NCCWSL.  The scholarship will cover the costs of tuition, meals, and lodging.  Additional funds to cover transportation costs are the responsibility of the applicant.  The deadline for applying for these scholarships is April 30, 2008.  Winners will be notified no later than May 15, 2008.
