Website Guidelines for Branches
A Model Website:
Your AAUW branch website should include the following components:
- a homepage that describes AAUW's missions (promoting education
and equity for all women and girls), history, corporate structure
(the Association, Foundation and Legal Advocacy Fund), number of
members and branches, action priorities, and information and contact
numbers specific to your branch or state. Sources: the AAUW memberhsip
brochure, style guide, and website.

dates, times, and locations.
Information
about your group's community action projects and public policy
work.
- description page for each of the three corporations giving
the mission statement for each and the highlights of current initiatives,
activities, and research. It is a good idea to link to the AAUW national
site for these pages. Sources: the AAUW website pages on the Association

Maintaining Your Website
Creating a website is a long-term commitment. Information changes frequently,
whether it be the location of the next branch event or the contact numbers
for your membership vice president. To reach your goals, keep your website
up to date.
Policy 109, Section 3. Use of Name and Logo by States and Branches
"Branches and states that use the AAUW Foundation, or LAF name or logo to market,
sell products, or raise funds across state lines will need prior approval from
AAUW."
The World Wide Web by its very nature crosses not only state lines
but international borders! If you plan to sell anything on the net,
first contact AAUW's marketing director at 202/785-7727 (marketing@mail.aauw.org)
or the AAUW Member HELPLINE, 800/821/4364 (helpline@mail.aauw.org).
